Accountability Connection

Finding an accountability partner is an extremely important key to remain clean after quitting marijuana. Sometimes it is difficult to find someone whom you can completely trust to share your inner-most feelings and struggles.  If you need to consult with a professional service, make sure your counselor has personally experienced marijuana addiction.  How can you receive beneficial council from a person who has no idea what you're are going through?

              Accountability Recommendations

  • Find a friend or mentor whom you have grown to trust who will meet with you regularly to encourage you to stay clean (in confidence).  You will also be an encouragement to them in their walk of sobriety.
  • Join an NA group that meets weekly.  If you are comfortable sharing with more than one person at a time, this will keep you accountable and encourage the group as a whole to continue with their decision to stay off of drugs.
  • Meet with a professional counselor for several months, or until you can find someone that is willing to meet with you privately in a comfortable setting.  Make sure the professional counselor has had personal experience quitting marijuana.
  • Contemplate Jack’s confidential accountability service.  Jack will connect with you every week for up to an hour through video conferencing (recommended), or by telephone.  His intention is to offer a temporary solution until you find a friend, mentor or group that will replace his service. Although meeting with Jack remotely may be temporary, he will periodically stay in touch with you for many years.  His "heart" is to see many people break-free and remain clean forever.
